According to the Census, 90% of the 163,036 people with the last name "Washington" were African-American making it the "blackest name in America." History of the surname can be traced back to the civil war when Blacks were able to freely choose their last name.

adidas Equipment EQT Spring 2011 – New Colorways

 Adidas is re-energizing the Equipment runner this spring, There was a release of these shoes late last year in a different pair of colors but this most definitely trumps those by a long shot . The white pair featuring a collegiate red will have to be my favorite, but the other pair could most definitely be a favorite as well, The red shoe strings  along with the yellow creates a really nice contrast , not to mention the turquoise blue. These release on the first of March.

Classic Kicks x PUMA R698

If you just so happen to reside in Louisiana and were upset about not getting a shot at the Classic Kicks x Puma R698 that recently released this post is for you. It appears that a few pairs have made their way onto the shelves at Politic.
The shoe’s upper is done in Electric Green with hits of Grenadine and Team Violet in the mix. Mesh and nubuck make up the upper and give the sneaker it character but the accent colors definitely provide the pop. Along with the release comes a matching laptop sleeve that also has a Trinomic cushioning system. The set is on shelves now for $95 but act fast if you want them.

 Supremes 5 panel camp caps have become a new discovery for me but old favorite for some. Those featured above are part of the summer spring collection this year  and they are really impressive. There are many other sets of caps coming out, but these two are my favorite especially the bottom set with basic solid colors a must get most definitely.

  Jay z and  Eminem pretty much rappin up the  Rap category after seeing the nominations  I was really hoping that Big Boi would add 1 more to the 7 grammys that he already has. Personally I think Drake had the most anticipated album of the year and he should have won the Best rap album.

One of Nike’s rising stars brings us his signature style in a great new look. If you are trying t get a splash of color in your Spring wardrobe you can thank Stefan Janoski for this dose of dopeness.
The Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski is set to drop in several colorways but this most noticeable as of yet may be this Sport Red version. What  you are looking at is, what it seems to me, Drakes Air Jordan collection while a colloection of Air Jordans is not surprising its the pair of shoes featured in it thats all the hype. Check out the forty-five on the back of Air Jordan 11 Concords. Weird right ? Im thinking problably cutom made , or these may be the Concords to be released this year I dont really know. But it would be nice to have those on my feet.

These are some pretty clean releases for the spring from HUF. My favorite is the Royal Blue/Red pair becuase of its live feel for the more laid back option there is a Grey  and a Black pair also releasing .Check em out at the HUF stores.

According to Mack Maine the Carter IV is pretty much finshed.

"I was in the studio all night workin' on this Carter IV," Maine said in an interview on Thursday (January 27). "We pretty much finished, to be honest; we probably need about two more songs. We got David Banner coming in tonight, so hopefully he'll come with somethin'. We try to make sure--he kind of makes every album. He made Tha Carter III, and made [We Are Young Money] -- Two or three more songs I'd say. We could be finished as of today, but we perfectionists so we still looking for one or two more sounds."
